Ensuring a regulated water supply as well as a balanced and needs-based nutrition of the hop plant for healthy growth to achieve optimum yields and qualities is becoming increasingly important in view of climate change.
The Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture has been working on this topic for many years. Just in time for the start of the irrigation season, Johannes Stampfl, who has been working on the project for many years, has succeeded in summarizing the collected knowledge in the LfL information brochure “Drip Irrigation and Fertigation for Hops” and making it available to hop growers.
