Wolnzach/Hüll, March 24, 2021 The General Meeting of the Society for Hop Research (GfH) takes place every year at the start of the new hop season. Due to the measures in place to contain the Corona pandemic, the meeting had to be held virtually this year.
In close cooperation with the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture, practical research is carried out at the Hop Research Center in Hüll and work is done on securing the future of Germany as a hop-growing location.

TWA meets at the Hop Museum

Due to the current development of the corona infection figures, the general meeting of the GfH will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2 pm as a video conference. The agenda sent out with the invitation will be streamlined to the items required by association law. The executive committee will meet in the training room of the Hop Research Centre in Hüll and will conduct the meeting in a small circle with the necessary hygiene and distance rules.

The optimal drying and conditioning of hops not only serves to maintain quality, but also makes an important contribution to cost and energy savings on hop farms.

Due to the Covid19 Pandemic, the general meeting of the Society of Hop Research will take place this year on October 21 at 2 p.m. in the rooms of the German Hop Museum in Wolnzach. Of course, the event is subject to the current Corona rules. Participation is limited and only possible with prior registration at the GfH.

With the publication in the Federal Gazette of February 7, 2020, the “Guidelines for Integrated Plant Protection in Hop Cultivation” developed by the Institute for Plant Production and Plant Breeding of the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture and the Association of German Hop Growers e.V. were included in the national action plan for the sustainable use of plant protection products.
